High performance/Grid Computing

AXIS GridLink offers a comprehensive set of tools that enable you to create a more efficient and secure production environment to ensure that AXIS GridLink and other grid-enabled applications can share the same hardware resources managed by the grid without any resource contentions.

AXIS GridLink can be integrated with enterprise level grids to work together seamlessly. In an integrated environment, AXIS GridLink assumes that the grid is managing CPU resources on the farm. This way, hardware resources can be shared efficiently with other grid-enabled applications.

Before GridLink launches AXIS, it requests a number of CPU cores from the grid. When a job is finished, AXIS GridLink will release the CPU cores that were granted to it so that other applications can use them.
