About AXIS Online Help

Welcome to the Online Help for AXIS 12!

There are several help books included in AXIS Online Help as shown in the Contents at left.  If the left hand pane is not currently visible, click on the "Show" button in the upper left hand corner of this window.

AXIS Users Guide

The AXIS Users Guide is intended to be a comprehensive guide to installing and using AXIS 12, providing an introductory overview of AXIS and DataLink for new users.  The topics in this section can be browsed in the order they are found in the Contents file in the left hand panel, or referenced from links in other help topics.  We are also adding some new topics providing tips and techniques for advanced applications in AXIS.

AXIS Reference Manual

The AXIS Reference Manual contains all context-specific and related help topics concerning the calculations performed in AXIS. All elements found in assumption screens, generated reports and wizard dialogues should have specific topics providing information on their purpose and use, that will be displayed using the typical Windows options of Help buttons, the <F1> hotkey or Help Menu options. Help Topics are cross referenced by hyperlinks within the topic text and also by lists of related fields.

What's New in AXIS?

This section provides a brief summary of the major new features introduced in AXIS 11 and 12. These features are also covered in the other topics within the Users Guide in more depth.  We recommend you visit the GGY website for up-to-date information on new features recently added to AXIS.

If you can't find what you are looking for in the AXIS Online Help, these other information sources are also available to you:

Bug Fixes and Enhancements: A searchable database of recent AXIS updates and enhancements, which is available directly from the Help Menu in AXIS or from the GGY Website (www.ggy.com).

GGY Client Support: We are always ready to help you with your AXIS questions. You may email questions directly to the Client Support team at axis@ggy.com, or call 416 250 6777 (for French language support call 514 886 1216). Generally the easiest and quickest way for us to help you is if we can see what you are doing, by receiving a backup of the AXIS objects you are working on. AXIS allows you to backup a specific cell, DataLink table or any other AXIS object you are working on, so there is usually no need to send us copies of your entire dataset. In the rare case where larger backups are required that would not be suitable to attach to an email there is a "Send a file to GGY option" on our website which will help you do a direct file transfer using a secure FTP.
