The source extract files are linked into DataLink
tables via DataLink logical files. Upon loading the original source
data into DataLink tables, the data may be passed through
conversion and/or validation processes. In addition, certain
calculations may be carried out on the data prior to it being
stored in the DataLink tables. The seriatim data is then loaded
into the DataLink tables and the tables are expanded and
mapped. At this point, the seriatim data can be exported to
cells. The seriatim records attached to cells are then processed to
produce valuation results and other calculated results. These
results can then be stored in a table in the Import/Export
database. Queries can then be created and defined with these tables
being data sources to analyze the results.
