Overview of Import and Export Options
in AXIS Users Guide - Import Export Options

Various kinds of data can be moved in and out of AXIS for various purposes other than by the printing of standard or custom reports. The primary alternatives for importing and exporting data are:

  1. Standard Windows cut, copy and paste commands using the Windows clipboard (can apply to text or numeric data).

  2. Seriatim inforce data provided by DataLink

  3. Import and export options using the AXIS Import/Export Database

In addition to the above methods, you may also direct any AXIS printed report to a printfile instead of a printer using the standard Windows options, and then use that printfile in an external application, although this is not recommended because of the printer control characters and formatting contained in the file. Use of the Import/Export Database is a preferable route to obtain usable files in any common file format (text, Microsoft database, or spreadsheet) based on the Calendar Year Projections at any level or on the assumptions in any object in AXIS.
