The Report Editor Window
in AXIS Users Guide - Working With Cells

The main window of the Report Editor contains two list windows separated by a column of action buttons.

The Selection List window on the left side of the main editor window is used to display a full list of all available calculated lines shown in the standard Calendar Year Projections report which may be selected for use within the Custom report. This list will include lines in the standard report which are subtotals or ratios of other lines, and special module-specific sections of the Calendar Year Projections. You may also use the Show hidden rows check box below the Selection List window to expand the list to include additional calculated values that are normally not visible in a standard Calendar Year Projections report but are stored with Cell Results in order to be used at higher object levels.

Line titles in the Selection List window are preceded by a row number. Some row numbers are only available in specific modules or at higher object levels, so the row numbers shown may appear to have some gaps. If normally hidden rows are displayed, the row title is preceded by an "H".

The Find button above the Selection List allows you to search for a specific character string either forwards or backwards in the currently displayed row titles. Search strings may occur anywhere within the row titles without requiring the use of wildcard characters.

The selected Report Rows are displayed in a list on the right side of the main editor window. The row title shown will appear as the title of the row in the custom report. The component rows of the custom report can be of several types:

  1. Unmodified standard report component rows as found and copied from the Selection List window;

  2. Text rows which will appear as report section headers in the custom report and are identified in the Report Row list by a "T" prior to the row title;

  3. Solid line rows which can be used to separate subtotals and totals from detail rows;

  4. User defined rows "Formula" rows identified in the Report Row list by a "F" prior to the row title.

The column of Action Buttons in the centre of the Editor window is used to add and remove lines from the Report Row list. There are additional action buttons below the Report Row list which allow you to adjust the order of the Report Rows, edit a text or formula row or undo and redo editing actions. More detailed instructions on the use of each of the Action Buttons is provided below.
