After running a cell, the standard reports available for viewing or printing include the Policy Year Results and the Calendar Year Projections, which also includes the Summary of Results page. Either or both of these reports may be enabled or disabled by specific menu option fields in the Processing Section of the Cell Assumption Screen.
if Policy Year Results have been run, then a defined set of Calculated Tables is also produced capturing specific factors and byproduct results for the product ages selected for the current run.
If Calendar Year Results have been run, then you have the option of immediately viewing a previously defined custom report or using the custom report design feature to create a new one based on the contents of the standard Calendar Year Projections report.
To print a report, view it first and then select Print or Print Preview from the File Menu on the Menu Bar.
If you click the Close All Results button in the Action Bar, then all report windows will be closed and you will be returned to the Assumptions screen.
To view the Policy Year Results Report, select this item from the list of reports in the Results Menu in the Menu Bar once the cell has been run. From the list of cash flow format options that appear, select the option to be applied for the current view. You may return and reselect another option from this list at any time without having to rerun the cell.
The Policy Year Results report is displayed in a window, which may be minimized, resized, and relocated in the usual fashion. Scroll bars along the right side and bottom allow you to control the viewable portion of the report.
The number of columns that may be viewed at once will depend on:
the resolution chosen for the Windows desktop in the Display Properties form for your system (see Screen Appearance in this help text);
the size of the current window;
the size of each column in the report, as determined by the Font options selected in the Format Menu in the Menu Bar, which is determined by default column width, and by any temporary adjustments in column width made by clicking and dragging the lines between the column titles in the report. (Note: adjusted column widths are not saved after the report is closed)
The number of decimals displayed in a given column is affected by its column width. You may also adjust the maximum number of decimals that appears in any column by selecting Preference ... in the Format Menu while viewing the Policy Year Results in the active window.
The selection of policy durations that appears in the report is controlled by the selection of either the standard view (15 years detail and then summary durations only) or the extended view (all durations in detail). You may adjust this selection in the Format Menu in the Menu Bar. The extended view is the default option.
The Policy Year Results will initially display the blended portfolio results based on the product ages selected for the run and the product age distribution assumed in the cell. You may select an individual product age or return to the weighted entry age blend by clicking on the Select Product Age button on the Action Bar.
You may use the mouse to select and highlight a single number in the report, a matrix of values, an entire row or column (by clicking on the row number or column title) or the entire report (by clicking on Policy Year column title in the top left corner). You may not change any values in the Policy Year Results itself but you may copy the selected values using the Edit Menu options (or the equivalent shortcut key combinations) to another window in AXIS or to another Windows application (e.g. Excel). If your selected range includes row numbers or column titles, these will be included in any paste to an external application.
To view the Calendar Year Projections report, select this item from the list of reports in the Results Menu in the Menu Bar once the cell has been run. Either the standard Calendar Year Results format or a selected custom report format will be displayed according to your last saved preference. You may use the Reports button on the Action Bar to Select another custom report, return to the standard report format, edit the current custom report format or design a new report, all without rerunning the cell.

Adjusted column widths are not saved after the report is closed, but you may adjust the default column width by selecting Preference... in the Format Menu while viewing the Policy Year Results in the active window. You may also adjust the maximum number of decimals that appears in any column and the units scale for all values by using the Format Preference command. Note that if the available column width is insufficient to display all of the decimal digits for a given value, AXIS will drop all digits following the decimal point and display a rounded integer value instead. You should adjust the units scale, number of decimals and column width settings until the report displays a useful and consistent level of precision for all values.
Columns in the Calendar Year Projections report display financial periods defined according to the user's selection while viewing the report. During the period of monthly projections as specified in the Dataset Parameters form, you may alternate between monthly, quarterly and annual detail by clicking on the appropriate buttons in the Action Bar.
You may use the mouse to select and highlight a single number in the report, a matrix of values, an entire row or column (by clicking on the row number or column title) or the entire report (by clicking on the header of the first column containing the row titles in the top left corner). You may not change any values in the Calendar Year Projections report but you may copy the selected values using the Edit Menu options (or the equivalent shortcut key combinations) to another window in AXIS or to another Windows application (e.g. Excel).
If your selected range includes row titles or column titles, these will be included in any paste to an external application. Note that if you toggle on the Use full title check box found in the Format Preferences window for the Calendar Year Projections report, all row titles will contain the full text for the title and not just a subtitle (e.g. the "Gross premium - renewal" line will appear in full as opposed to just " - renewal").
Calendar Year Projections may also be stored in an internal database, in which there are various viewing and import/export options. Refer to Import/Export Options in the AXIS Users Guide for further details.
