Update Description |
The farm administrator may need to change some registry settings on GridLink servers in order to avoid a problem caused by SMB2 cache on certain Windows Operating Systems, e.g. Windows Server 2008, Windows HPC Server 2008, etc.

The user can use this feature to remotely change these settings on GridLink servers. To do so, select the menu "Tools - Server Message Block 2.0 Settings - Set SMB2 Settings in Registry". The user needs to specify the cache life time to 0 seconds.
To view the current settings, the user can select the menu "Tools - Server Message Block 2.0 Settings - Check SMB2 Settings in Registry".
The user can also right-click on a server and select the right-click menu to view/change the settings on this server only.
