Filters are named and saved objects that allow you to customize the view of an assumption screen. Filters are available for each object that is defined using an assumption screen, including:
Offices
Funds
Subfunds
Cells
Scenario Processing Screens
Reinvestment Strategies
A Filter works by masking out (hiding) selected portions of the screen, including any of the assumption fields within the screen and the corresponding labels and column titles on the screen. When all fields and labels of a section of an assumption screen have been hidden, then the section and its title are automatically hidden, too.
Filters may be created, defined, saved and worked with in other ways by selecting that filter type from the View Menu. Filters may also be created, edited and applied to a specific object while editing the assumption screen for that object. To define a Filter while editing an object, you must enter "design mode".
Once defined or selected while editing an object, a Filter is automatically assigned to that object when the object is saved. The next time that object is edited again, the same filter is automatically applied the assumption screen. Filters may be assigned to groups of objects while working with that object's list view by using Advanced option in the Action Menu for the object.
