Within the Asset module of AXIS, cells are used to represent individual assets such as bonds, mortgages, stocks, and real estate. Within each cell, the features of each asset and its projected financial impact are defined by a set of assumptions such as maturity date, income rate, inforce book value, etc. DataLink helps you prepare these assumption sets and uses them to directly create the corresponding AXIS cells.
Different asset types (e.g. bonds, mortgages, etc.) will generally use different sets of assumption fields in the AXIS Cells. Accordingly, you can create as many Asset Cell Assumption tables in a single Dataset as are necessary to accurately represent your assets.
Within AXIS, cells can be grouped into subfunds. DataLink allows you to predefine which cells will be included in each subfund. You may also wish to import assets on a regular basis, such as monthly, or even weekly, reflecting up to date changes in your company’s asset portfolio. DataLink is designed to facilitate and control both first time imports and ongoing update imports of asset information.
