What is AXIS DataLink?
in
AXIS Users Guide - Introduction to AXIS DataLink
The purpose of the AXIS DataLink features is to provide a smooth
link between your inforce business data, as described in your
administrative systems, and AXIS cells within a Dataset. In
addition, the AXIS DataLink features provide a powerful analysis
and reporting tool.
AXIS DataLink enables you to:
- create Policy Information tables and Asset Cell Assumptions
tables to store selected data from available seriatim source
files
- create separate Policy Information and/or Asset Cell Assumption
tables for each source file
- read and convert inforce data from source file(s) and load it
into the related Policy Information Table
- expand the stored data with additional fields as required for
analysis and processing within AXIS
- create new cells with seriatim inforce data or update existing
ones
- generate and link synthesized new business data for use in AXIS
cells
- control the assumptions applied to each record while the record
is being processed in a cell
- generate summary and detailed reports on the Policy Information
table content and on seriatim information report tables created by
AXIS Batch calculations
- define and execute a batch process of sequential steps that
includes a full production cycle from the preparation of an extract
file from source systems to the creation of query reports on
valuation results and process control information
AXIS DataLink features and utilities are designed to enable the
efficient development from scratch of a business model, as well as
the maintenance of a reliable and controlled production process as
part of the corporate reporting function. AXIS DataLink
features are provided through a combination of objects (File,
Table, Query and Batch) specifically for each module of
AXIS. Refer to Basic Concepts and
Terms for more information on AXIS DataLink objects.
DataLink is a separately licensed module of AXIS. Please
contact GGY for further information on licensing.
