How to Select Objects
in AXIS Users Guide - Working With Cells

Some actions may apply to single or multiple objects at a time (e.g. delete, copy, transfer, etc.) If you wish to apply an action to set of objects you must "select" them first. "Selected" objects are highlighted by a dark background to distinguish them from the "current" object, and they stay selected even when the current object is changed.

You may select or unselect an object at a time by:

All other previously selected objects are left as selected after performing these actions.

You may select or unselect multiple items in a range by using the <Shift> click or <Ctrl><Shift> click methods. Using <Shift> click on a specific object will select the range of objects starting with the current object (prior to the click) and ending with the object which was clicked. All previously selected objects will be automatically unselected, and the current object becomes the one which was last clicked.

If instead you <Ctrl><Shift> click on an object in the list, then all objects in the range starting with the current object (prior to the click) and ending with the object which was clicked are selected, and all selected objects outside the range are left as selected.

There are also various ways to change your selections using the Options window which is opened by clicking on the Options button in the Action Bar. The Options window allows you to select, unselect or toggle all records in the list or all records which fall in a defined range of row numbers, or for which a matching wild card text string is found in the object name.
