Article Detail:

The power saving features of Windows can affect the run times in AXIS.  Some screen savers can use significant system resources (CPU cycles) to display fancy graphics, sound effects, etc. Other Energy saving features can cause the Hard disk to be powered down.

When a time critical run is being processed the simplest, most efficient screen saver and best power saving, is accomplished by using no Screen saver and physically turning the screen off. You can check on the progress by turning the screen back on. AXIS can also be affected by other programs that may run in the background. Windows may defragment disks, scan for Viruses, check for email, update web pages, etc. You may want to disable these programs from running while AXIS is calculating.
